Happy new you to all my people and glory be to God for his grace that enabled you to see this new year 2021 despite the fearsome COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges you may have faced in 2020. This new year is set to be a great year of restoration to you, your health, businesses, family and several aspects of your life in Jesus name- Amen.
There are only two things in life that cannot be restored by man if lost. Time lost cannot be restored and so is the life of a person who is dead and buried. On the other hand, money lost can be restored; Property can be restored, broken-down cars can be brought back to life and relationships can be restored. But while man cannot restore lost time, God can. To man time flies and it does not return, years pass and we never get them back, but God can restore the lost time and wasted year such as the loses suffered by many of you in 2020 due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. He will not bring back 2020 for you to start all over again, but He is faithful to restore all your loses.
In Joel 2:25 God shocked our natural common sense by promising the impossible. He says “I will restore the years that the locust has eaten” What God is saying here is that my people who suffered the complete destruction of their entire harvest through swarms of locusts that marched like an insect army through their fields, destroying the crops will smile again with restoration of all that they lost to the wicked insects.
For the whole of 2020, the harvest of a lot of people, nations, families were completely wiped out due to the ravaging effect of the shutdown occasioned by Covid -19 pandemic. God’s people were brought to their knees economically and they groaned to Him in prayers. As recorded in Joel 2:18-19 “the Lord became jealous for his land and had pity on his people.” God said, “Behold I am sending to you grain, wine and oil, and you will be satisfied.
God is saying to those reading this message now that in 2021
• Don’t be afraid, O my people. Be glad now and rejoice, for the LORD has done great things. Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field, for the wilderness pastures will soon be green. The trees will again be filled with fruit; fig trees and grapevines will be loaded down once more. Rejoice, my people…The threshing floors will again be piled high with grains, and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil. The LORD says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, (COVID-19) the hopping locusts… Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the LORD your God, who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced. Then you will know that I am among my people, that I am the LORD your God, and there is no other. Never again will my people be disgraced. Joel 2:23-27
God put this promise in the Bible for our benefit in 2021 and beyond and it will come to pass in our lives in Jesus name Amen
