Bianca Odinakachukwu Olivia Odumegwu-Ojukwu was born in 5th August 1968, She won Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN) in 1989 before emerging as the next Miss Africa in 1989 pageant held in Gambia. She represented her country at both Miss World in Hong Kong and Miss Universe in Mexico. She became so popular worldwide and achieved greater success when she won Miss Intercontinental that same year. She was the first African Beauty Queen to win Miss Intercontinental in 1989.
Bianca Ojokwu was named Miss Congeniality at the now defunct Miss Charm International in Russia where she was also a semi-finalist.
In 1990, The Beauty Queen met the love of her life, late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the political associate of her father over thirty years her senior. Their love affair was a controversial romance as that was a national talking point. But you know what they say, “love will always conquer” She married the former Biafran leader in a lavish wedding ceremony held in Abuja.
Their union were blessed with three children.
In 2012, the death of her husband generated a great deal of controversy and disaffection among her co wives and their children as her husband left most of his will to her.
Bianca Ojukwu is one of the few women in Nigeria regarded as “Beauty with Brains”. She was a Queen that achieved more than beauty pageant.
Bianca Ojokwu is a Nigerian lawyer, politician, diplomat, and a businesswoman.
Bianca is a successful business woman who owns a skin and beauty clinic in Enugu.
In 2011, Bianca Ojukwu was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs by President Goodluck Jonathan.
She became the country’s Ambassador to Ghana and later Ambassador to the Kingdom Of Spain.
In 2016, Bianca Ojukwu received a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Alfonso X el Sabio University in Spain. She is now Nigeria’s permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
Bianca Ojokwu holds many traditional titles in her native land as well as the highest chieftaincy title conferred on women in her religion.
In March 2022, Bianca Ojukwu slapped the former first lady, Ebelechukwu Obiano as a self-defense to prevent the first lady from verbal attack during the inaugural ceremony of His Excellency , Prof. Chukwuma Soludo the new governor of Anambra State.
