As the 2023 gubernatorial election continues to draw close, several personalities have indicted interest in becoming the next governor of the Akwa Ibom state. One of such personalities is Rt. Hon .Onofiok Luke, the current chairman of the House of Representatives committee on judiciary.
Townhall Platform ran a poll on its face book channel yesterday to feel the pulse of the public concerning Mr Duke’s desire to be governor. The result was a 90% YES by the people who commented.
Hon Onofiok Luke is a lawyer by profession and a one-time president of the Nigerian Youths Parliament. He was elected into the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly in 2011 and re-elected in 2015 where he emerged the speaker of the House.
Set out below are some of the comments that declared Mr Luke wanted as governor.

He is a good product for the job, but will Uyo senatorial district zone the Governorship slot to his side? Attah and Isemin were from his axis.
It’s the time for Ibiono and Itu axis to produce a Governor this time. So OBA and Ini Ememobong a better chance than Mr. Luke.
