One of outstanding ways God’s blessings upon your life will manifest in this new season is that your cup will overflow. God will send you heavy showers of blessing instead of mercy drops. Your years of sowing in tears and seeking God’s kingdom first will be rewarded with bountiful harvest of joy.
Psalm 23 popularly called the shepherd’s psalm says in verse five:
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; My cup overflows.”
When you pour water into a cup, it is required that you stop when the cup is full because you are limited by the size of the cup and the space within it. When God wants to bless you, He is not limited by your capacity to receive because He will increase your capacity to take the overflow of His blessing.Your dreams and your cup of faith may be small, but our God “… is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”(Ephesians 2:20)
In our anchor scripture God is telling us that he will shame all your enemies and mocker by preparing a big feast for you during your promotion in their presence. Like the case of Joseph, David, Daniel, Mordecai and Esther, your enemies will become the ushers and those who will be clapping for you during the feast celebrating your promotion and anointing of your head with oil.
PRAYER: Father, thank You that You want my cup to run over with blessings that go way beyond what I have faith for. Thank You that You just keep pouring and pouring Your grace and favuor into my life. I believe that You are going to do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
