TOPIC: How To Activate Abundant Blessing Upon Your Life
SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 11:24-26 “Some people give freely and gain more; others refuse to give and end up with less. Give freely, and you will profit. Help others, and you will gain more for yourself.”
MESSAGE: The main key to activating abundant blessing is to be a blessing to others. If you support and breathe life into other people such as the needy or vulnerable, God will likewise bless you more abundantly.
When talking about being a blessing to others and supporting life, the Dead Sea quickly comes to my mind. The Dead Sea which is located at the border between Israel and Jordan is one of the most intriguing natural phenomena on Earth. The most intriguing thing about this sea is that it does not support life. Fishes, seaweeds or other living creatures do not grow in the water except some microorganisms and algae. The Dead sea only receives water that flows into it from other sources but its water does not flow out. The saddest thing about the Dead Sea is that any live fish or creature that flows into it must die. God created us to support life and not to be like the dead sea.
Our anchor scripture makes it clear that God does not bless us so that we can live with greed and hoard the blessings of God for yourself and family alone. He wants us to be a blessing to others. God loves a cheerful giver. When He sees that someone is giving freely out of love, God blesses them the more (2 Corinthians 9:8-11). When God blesses you financially and you move to improve your living standard, also take steps to raise your standard of giving and support to others. Giving and supporting others to stand is a critical key to activating the blessing of God upon your life. As you practice the art of giving and supporting others, the spiritual switch button of God’s abundant blessing will automatically be activated in your life in Jesus name-Amen.
PRAYER: My Lord and my God I come to you with humility. Forgive my selfishness and past insensitivity in not being supportive to needy people. Grant me the grace to give to the needy around me and help them to stand in life. Lord as I continue to be a blessing to others, cause your showers of blessing to flow abundantly in my life in Jesus Name-Amen
