You are born to win
SCRIPTURE: Genesis 49:19 “As for Gad—a raiding troop shall trample him, but he shall raid back at their heels and assault them and emerge victorious.”
MESSAGE: The world is filled with all kinds of people. There are people that will smear you, trample on you, do everything to undermine you, pull you down and even push you into a deep pit. Also, there are people that will encourage, assist, strengthen and pull you out of the pit to fulfill your destiny. Don’t ever allow any harsh situation in your life to discourage or control your way of thinking about yourself. Don’t let people’s negative opinions concerning you distract you from your focus because since the moment God formed you in your mother’s womb; you are a winner. You are “Born to Win”, despite all odds.
In our anchor scripture in Genesis 49, Jacob according to Jewish tradition decided to prophesy upon the lives of his children and bless them before his death. When it was the turn of Gad, the 7th son of Jacob, the father drew him closer, looked him in the eyes and said “As for Gad—a raiding troop shall trample him, but he shall raid back at their heels and assault them and emerge victorious.”
Jacob was simply telling his son here that there was a tumultuous future ahead of him, but he will emerge victorious because he was born to win. He was telling Gad that evil people will afflict him, trample on him but he will emerge a winner.
Friends, take a good look at yourself today with a good mirror and say it loud “I am a winner like Joseph”. Avoid looking at yourself with a broken mirror or other people’s mirror and calling yourself a loser. No matter what you are facing right now or the size of the troops raging against you, let this truth anchor deep within you that you were born to win as such will emerge victorious.
PRAYER: My father and my God, I know that because You are on my side, evil troops will not raid and defeat me. Please Lord give me the strength to stand against the giants intimidating my destiny and make me a winner in Jesus name- Amen
